    The Udvartana\/Udsadana powder massage - important info<\/h2>\n

    The Udvartana is a stimulating dry massage. It is performed as a powder massage with finely ground heated plant powder based on chickpea flour. This can take place both on dry and previously oiled skin. In the Udsadana, the herbal powder is mixed with Ayurvedic oils to form a warm paste with which the massage is performed.<\/p>\n

    Both are energizing massages that have a strong exfoliating effect and have a cleansing, smoothing and firming effect on the skin. Especially in case of itching and tendency to hives, powder massage can be helpful. Primarily, the two Ayurvedic massages are used for Kapha types, but a light powder massage can also be beneficial for Pitta types who cannot tolerate sesame oil, for example.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
