The Bavarian Forest offers one of the largest hiking and trail networks in Europe on which, of course, a mountain bike tour can be a lot of fun. Or do you like to play golf? Especially due to its hills, the region can score with some well-maintained and fantastically located golf courses. If you prefer to spend your active vacation in the winter months, you can really let off steam on the highest mountain in the Bavarian Forest, the Großer Arber, and the many surrounding ski areas. Also for trekkers and snowshoe hikers it could not be more beautiful anywhere than in the region around the Arber. In winter, the forest turns into a fairy-tale to bizarre landscape and becomes a real highlight.
